Reserve an air ticket
A passenger after having reserved a seat shall board the plane by his/her ticket in accordance with the reserved seat. A passenger can reserve a seat in advance at a carrier's booking office or its sales agent according to the relevant regulation. A passenger who has already reserved a seat should purchase a ticket within the time limits specified or agreed in advance by the carrier. If a passenger fails to purchase a ticket within the time limits, the reservation the passenger has made will be cancelled accordingly.
Travel documents
When ticketing or during check-in, China 's mainland citizens need to present their identity cards. Foreigner travelers, Chinese citizens from Hong Kong and Macau , Taiwan or other countries should be requested to present their passports or other valid travel documents. Birth Certificates should be used for children under age of 16.
Purchase a ticket
When a Chinese passenger purchases a ticket, his/her own ¡°inhabitant Identity Card¡± or other valid identity certificate must be presented and a ¡°Passenger Reservation Record¡± must be filled in. When a foreigner or an overseas Chinese or Chinese or a compatriot from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Purchases a ticket, his/her valid passport, ¡°returning-home Card¡±, Taiwan Compatriot Card¡±, ¡°Residence Permit¡±, Travel Certificate¡± or other valid identity card issued by the public security authority must be presented and a ¡°Passenger Reservation Card¡± must be filled in.
Reconfirm a ticket
A passenger after having reserved a seat on onward or return flights shall reconfirm his/her reservations at the onward or return point not later than 12 O'clock am, 2 days before the departure of the flight if the passenger stays there for more than 72 hours, otherwise the reservation originally made will be cancelled accordingly.
Ticket
A ticket is the document issued by or on behalf of the Carrier and constitutes the contract of carriage between the carrier and the passenger. A ticket is also a certificate for passengers to check-in baggage and travel by air.
Tickets should be kept clean and undamaged and used only by the passenger named on the ticket Tickets that are transferred, altered or mutilated will be treated as invalidated and void.
Period of validity
A normal fare ticket is valid for carriage for one year from the date of commencement of travel, or from the date of issue thereof if no portion of it is used. The validity of a special fare ticket is specified by the carrier in accordance with its relevant regulations. The validity is calculated from 24:00 of the date of the commencement of travel or of ticket issue to 24:00 of the date of expiration.
Child ticket fare
A child who has reached 2 years of age and has not reached 12 years of age is charged at
75% of the adult fare and an infant under 2 years of age not occupying a separate seat charged at 10% of the adult fare. One adult passenger is entitled to accompany one infant enjoying such infant fare.
Passenger fare
Passenger fare means the air transport price applicable for the carriage from the airport of origin to the airport of destination. Passenger fares do not include surface transportation charges between airports and town terminals.
Lost ticket
A passenger having lost his/her ticket should apply in writing to the air carrier or its sales agent for loss reporting and provide the date and place of the original purchase of the ticket, the valid identity card, the certificate issued by the public security authorities, at the place where the ticket is lost and other certificates that can sufficiently prove the loss. The carrier holds no liability for the lost ticket if it has been falsely used or refunded before the lost ticket is reported.
Check in
Passenger shall arrive at the airport within the time limit specified by the air carrier and present their valid identity cards and tickets to the check-in counter. The time for closing check-in counter is determined by the carriers (generally 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure)
Transit/transfer
When booking ticket, please notice the time between the two connecting flights you will take. For domestic flights, there should be at least 2 hours between previous arrival and next departure; and 3 hours between previous arrival and next international departure.
After arriving at the transfer airport, you can seek counseling and leading service from ground handlers.
Please check-in at the transfer desk or the corresponding counter of the next flight you will take. If you checked your baggage at the previous flight, you should claim them and check in for the next one.
Basing on the airport construction fee and tickets of the previous flight, passengers who will take connecting flight within 8 hours are free from the airport construction fee.
Flight backup
Before going to the airport, passengers should inquire about backup seats. If it's capable, please go through the flight backup formalities at the corresponding counter.
- Passengers shall fill in the backup-seat-booking applications at the airport ticket office.
- Passengers shall inquire 30 minutes prior the flight's departure about if the backup efficient.
- If it's efficient, passenger shall produce the valid identity certificates.
- The booking clerk will make a ticket according to the passenger's valid identity certificates.
- Pay money and take ticket.
Change ticket
If a passenger after having purchased a ticket requests to change the flight, the date or the type of class, such change may be made according to the carrier's actual possibility and the carrier's condition of carriage.
Refund the air ticket
Refunds (except discounted-fare ticket and group refunds) are divided into two categories: Voluntary and Involuntary.
Voluntary refunds will pay the applicable service and communication charges by the Carrier in accordance with the time of refund made. Prior to 24 hours before departure of schedule, a 5% reduction of the paid fare will be levied. Within 24 to two hours before departure of the flight schedule, a 10% reduction will be levied and two hours prior to departure of the scheduled flight, a 20% reduction will be levied. After the departure of the flight as scheduled, a 50% reduction will be levied.
No surcharges will be assessed for involuntary refunds.
If a passenger requests a refund, please fill in a refunding card. Except loss of ticket, passengers must present all untapped flight coupons and passenger coupons. Passengers' requirements for refunds are not accepted unless it's in the period of validity. Passengers should return tickets at the following places:
a. The original ticket office where passengers purchased tickets if not depart from the area
b. The local carrier's ticket office or its duly authorized agent ticket office if passengers have departed from the origin place. The open tickets holder can only return tickets at the original ticket offices where they purchased tickets.
¡°Now-show¡± and the result
¡°No-show¡± means a passenger has not been able to board the aircraft either because of his/her failure to complete check-in formality within the specified time limit or because of his/her travel documents wh
ich are not in conformity with the regulations. If the no-show passenger requests to take the other follow-up flights or refunds his/her ticket, it shall be handled according to the carrier's regulation.
Flight irregular service
When the flight is delayed or cancelled due to the air carrier's reason, meals and hotel accommodations for the passengers will be provided free of charge by the air carrier. When the flight is delayed or cancelled at the airport of origin due to the reasons not caused by the air carrier, such as weather, unexpected accident, air traffic control, security inspection, passengers, etc. the air carrier may assist passengers to arrange their meals and hotel accommodations but with the expenditures so arising home by passengers.
The airport construction fee
Each passenger should pay RMB 50 Yuan as the airport construction fee. Basing on tickets, passengers who will take connecting flights within 8 hours and children under 12 are free from the airport construction fee. A passenger may buy the passenger's unexpected bodily injury insurance at his/her own discretion. |
