Lake Beida, known as “Vacation Resort, Skiing Paradise”, is located at a charming city Jiang Chen, southwest to Jilin City. Nature envelopes her gorgeous terrains is an awesome sight. There are 9 peaks above 1,000 meters, including Mt. Nanlou(1,408 meters), which is the highest peak in Jilin. Rolling peaks surrounded on three sides by providing, pampering long skiing trails; the high mountain allows refuge from the cold wind, creating a pleasant shelter of thick and good quality snow for long and mild ski season.
Beida Lake features 13 alpine trails covering a total length of nearly 20km, and 10km cross-country ski trails covering 30km, with maximum 870 meters elevation altitude. Diverse terrain includes oen cruisers, Dong-2 range, freestyle aerials venues, half-pipe cylindrical contour and fun boxes. Local transportation at Lake Beida Resort includes 8 lifts with a total length of 10,360 meters, which was conceived in 2006 as the trailer attachment of 4 seats and 6-people gondola-speed cableways are 5 meters per minute. New storage capacity of 70 million cubic meters of the reservoir and advanced snow-making system guarantees the perenial use.
Lake Beida Ski Resort is the national AAAA tourist attractions. It hosted the 6th Asian Winter Games successfully in 2007.
