Forest of pagoda

The Forest of pagodas is the burial grounds for the high ranking monks in the temple. After the death of those respectful monks, their ashes would be placed in a jar, which will be buried in the under-ground palace underneath the pagoda. Nowadays, there're 232 pagodas are survived in the Shaolin temple, time ranges from Tang (618-907), Song (960-1127), Yuan (1271-1368), Ming (1368-1644) & Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. |

| How to book the tour: |
