Yanqing County
Covering a total area of 1,980 square kilometers, the county is divided into 25 townships with a population of 270,000. The county is mountainous with many rivers passing through it. The county features apples, shrimps, haws, chestnuts and apricot kernels.

Mentougou District
Occupying an area of 1,331.3 square kilometers, the district is divided into 18 townships and 5 neighbourhood committees with a population of 270,000. The district is a mountainous area with more than one hundred peaks, and mountainous area occupies 96 percent of the total area of the district. It is rich in coal, limestone, and granite; its local products include rose, day lily, twigs of the chaste tree, wild jujube, mushrooms, and Beijing white pear.

Fangshan District
Encompassing 1,866.7 square kilometers, it is divided into 3 towns, 29 townships and one neighbourhood committee with a population of 760,000. Its mountainous area makes up 60 percent. With many rivers, the district is 45 kilometers away from the city center. Famous for places of historic interests, the district produces snow-white marble, chestnuts, persimmons, Beijing white pear, and hongxiao pear. Within its boundary, there are some large-scale enterprises.

Shijingshan District
Covering an area of 81.8 square kilometers, the district is divided into 9 neighbourhood committees and an agricultural committee with a population of 300,000. It is Beijing industrial district. It is rich in water resources and Yongding River passes through it.

Fengtai District
Covering an area of 304.2 square kilometers, the district is divided into 13 neighbourhood committees and 6 townships with a population of 790,000. The district is Beijing ' southwestern gateway. Most trains coming and going pass through the district. Fengtai District is also famous for “kingdom of vegetables” and good reputation for “township of flowers”.

Miyun district
Occupying an area of 2,335.6 square kilometers, the county is divided into 2 towns and 22 townships with a population of 420,000. It is 75 kilometers from the city centre. Built in 1958, Miyun Reservoir is one of the largest reservoirs in North China . Within its boundary it is plenty of mountain products.

Pinggu District
Covering a total area of 1,075 square kilometers, the district is divided into 21 townships with a population of 380,000. Most of the area is occupied by mountains. Its mountain products include walnuts, chestnuts and apricot kernel. Within its boundary it is rich in natural resources, and gold ranks first in the outskirts of Beijing .

Huairou District
Covering an area of 2,557.3 square kilometers, the district is divided into 7 towns and 14 townships with a population of 260,000. It is 50 kilometers from the city centre. Ninety percent of the district is mountainous and it is home to chestnuts. Other fruits include walnuts, haw, sweet pear, ya pear, and apricot kernel.

Daxing District
Approved by the State Council, Daxing became a district on April 30, 2001. Encompassing 1,012 square meters, Daxing District is divided into 1 district, 9 towns and 18 townships with a population of 520,000. It is a plain district and one of satellite cities of Beijing . Panggezhuang is famous for watermelon both in Bejing and Tianjin .

Changping District
Covering an area of 1,430 square kilometers, the district is divided into one district, 3 towns and 26 townships, one state-run farm, one special tourist zone with a population of 430,000. It is 34 kilometers from the city center. Changping is renowned for tourist scenic zone with numerous scenic spots and tourist facilities. Within its boundary it is rich in natural resources, mineral products, and rural products.

Shunyi District
Covering a total area of 980 square kilometers, the district is divided into one town, 28 townships with a population of 540,000. It is 30 kilometers from Dongzhimen. Within its boundary is plain, with crops growing in the fields and it is named “granary of the Capital.”

Tongzhou District
Covering an area of 870 square kilometers, the district is divided into 11 towns, one district with 12 townships and 28 neighbourhood committees with a population of 600,000. Since ancient times, Tongzhou District has been the eastern gateway of Beijing , communications hub and strategic points. At present, the district is the biggest satellite city of Beijing .

Haidian District
Covering an area of 426 square kilometers, the district is divided into 17 neighbourhood committees and 11 townships with a population of 1.44 million Famous high-tech industry and institutions of higher learning are located in the district. Its rural area is Beijing 's non-staple food production base. Its western mountainous area is one of the Beijing 's famous fruit production bases.

Chaoyang District
The Chaoyang District, honored as a diplomatic window and the window of international change for Beijing , is the biggest urban district, as well as one of the most modernized parts of Beijing . Encompassing 470.6 square kilometers, and located north of Jianguomenwai Avenue between the city's Eastern Second Ring and Eastern Third Ring and the Fourth Ring roads, Chaoyang District is divided into 21 neighbourhood committees and 24 townships with a population of 2.3 million. It is the largest district of the capital city. The district is an important non-staple food production base and important industrial district. More than 98 percent of the foreign embassies, representative offices of the United Nations, news agencies and 62 percent of the city's five-star hotels are located in the district. Capital Airport , Workers' Stadium, and Asian Games Village and etc., are concentrated in this district. The district is home to more than 60 percent of the foreign business agencies in Beijing , 3,000 foreign companies and 167 international agencies.
