Bashang Grassland with overall area of 360 square kilometers is a part of the Plain of Inner Mongolia. The overall height of Bashang Grassland is about 1700 meters above sea level and the highest point of the grassland is reaching 2400 meters above sea level. It is the origin for both Luan River and Chao River. The average temperature throughout the grassland is around 18 degree Celsius all year round. During the spring and summer, you will find the sky looks so blue and the grasses are lush green grasses are everywhere. Moreover, there are dotted of colorful flowers which decorating the green grassland and perfecting the surrounding. In the autumn however, the whole grassland will be dressed in red while it will later put on white mask in the winter.
There will not be very high temperature at grassland even in the summer. The best activity to spend your time in the night here will be involved yourself in campfire, singing, dancing and get yourself drunken. Besides that, you may also experience the serenity of grassland by sitting alone at a corner or lying on the grassland and watch the stars high above the sky. On the next morning, you are recommended to wake up early to catch the sunrise in grassland. The sunrise here seems to be different when compared with any other place as you will feel that the sun is very close to you.
