Changbai Mountain is a unique destination that boats rare animals, tranquil lakes, hot springs as well as forests that stretch to the horizon. The scenery at Changbai Mountain is marvelous all year round. There are many beautiful scenic spots throughout the mountains and the Heavenly Lake is undoubtedly the most beautiful spot here. Changbai Hot Spring lies about 2 kilometers from the Changbai Waterfall. The average temperature of the hot spring is over 60 degree Celsius which sometimes may reach 82 degree Celsius. Due to the special chemical composition in the hot spring, the rocks around the hot springs have been highlighted with different colors. On the other hand, the hot spring eggs also turn to be a famed local product as well.
On top of that, the forest which situated on the foot of the mountain is the best destination to experience the virgin forest. This is where you may find ancient tall threes, huge rocks, canyons and special animals here. Especially during the peak seasons, the blossoms of flowers will dotted the southern and western slopes of mountains. Since the average temperature at Changbai Mountain is relatively low, it is exactly a great destination for summer escape. In the cold winter however, Changbai Mountain will turn into a ski course from November to March.
