Yangren Street or literally means Foreigner Street is a business street of Dali at about 300 meters length. The original name of this street is Huguo Street. Since 1984 when Dali was listed as a city which open to foreign visitors, many shops and stores that targeted the foreign tourists as their major customers have been founded along the street. This is the reason why the street is commonly known as Foreigner Street by the locals. When you are here, you can simply ask any locals beside you why route to the street if you are unsure on how to get there. It is impossible that you got the wrong information regarding the route. However, if you refer the street by using its original name, most of the locals will unable to answer your inquiry anyway.
