Four-Wonders-of-Yellow-Mountain
Introduction

The Four Wonders of Yellow Mountain is actually referred to the four unique scene of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) of Anhui Province which includes strange pines, absurd stones, sea of clouds and hot springs.
1. Strange Pines
A unique species of pine which is known as Huangshan Pine (Yellow Mountain Pine) can be found almost everywhere throughout the mountain. When you are here standing on the mountain which is lack of soil, you will really impressed by the vitality and strength of these pines that grow evergreen throughout the mountain. The wind will send the seeds of pines to the crevices on the rocks and the destination of where the seeds landed will soon become the place that they rooted and grow. Anyway, the uneven terrain of the mountainous area has prevented the pines from growing upright. Thus, result in the pines to become crooked and grew downwards. Moreover, you may find out that most of the pines here grow branches on only single side.
Besides that, the poor soil and climate on the mountain has limited the growing speed of the pines. It might take more than one hundred years for a tree to grow up to a height of three meters. However, the length of their roots is several times longer than the tree trunks in order to remain firm and withstanding the wind on the mountain.

2. Spectacular Rocks
The eye-catching spectacular view of strange rocks will every now and then appear around you throughout you journey at Yellow Mountain. All these rocks are unique with different shapes and sizes. Some of them look like human, birds or animal. The most fascinating is that all these rocks might look vary when they are seen from different angles. In order to attract the attention from tourist as well as make it more easy to remember, the local people have given each rocks with its own fantastic legends.

3. Sea of Clouds
Yellow Mountain is always covered by clouds and mists. For those who love the scene with sea of clouds, then winter is the best season to enjoy this spectacle. The sea of clouds are divided into five sections according to their locations, consist of East Sea, South Sea, West Sea, North Sea and Sky Sea. When you climb up anyone of Lotus Peak, the Heaven Capital Peak or the Bright Peak, you will find that you seem to be standing above the level of clouds which appears like sea beneath of you. From here, the cloud seas on your feet will keep on changing every second; sometimes they look like a flat mirror and sometimes like rolling waves. Especially when sunrise and sunset, the cloud sea will become a white canvas which allows the sun to put on colors in order to outcome with beautiful paintings. You will be totally impressed by the surrounding and cannot help marveling at this gift from Heaven. 

4. Hot Springs
After spending a day climbing the mountain, then it is time for you to relax thoroughly at the hot spring of Yellow Mountain. The hot spring is running out from the Purple Peak at 850 meters above sea level. It was said that Emperor Huangdi, who was known as the ancestor of Chinese nation had bathed here for 49 days before he ascended to heaven and became immortal. The hot spring will keep you recharged especially after a tiring day of hiking.
