The Great Wall of Han Dynasty in Dunhuang is differing from the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty as the wall was built in Han Dynasty, which was constructed more than 1000 years prior to the Ming's Great Wall.
The great wall was built by the Han Dynasty in order to consolidate the safety of the frontier region while exploring ways to be connected with western region for business purpose. Anyway, bricks and stones were not the building materials for the great wall of Han Dynasty, but the local sand and weed were putting one on top of another for the construction of great wall. Nowadays, only a few broken sections and several towers of Han's Great Wall can be found.
