Hong Kong Disneyland, as the fifth Magical Kingdom Park which located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island is officially opened to public in on September 12, 2005. The park consists of four theme parks just similar to other Disneyland parks which are the American Town, Fantasy Land, Adventure Land and Tomorrow Land. Anyway, Frontier Land is yet to be constructed, perhaps it may be included in future expansion projects. English and Chinese in which includes Cantonese and Mandarin dialects are commonly used by the cast members of the park to communicate verbally. Besides that, guide maps are printed in traditional and simplified Chinese as well as English, French, and Japanese for the convenient of visitors from all over the world.
You will reach the American Town once you enter Disneyland Hong Kong. Besides being able to witness the atmosphere as if you are being at the Main Street of United States, you will be able to buy many Disney’s souvenirs when you are here as well. Moreover, it is also the venue where Disney on Parade will be passing through. The parade features nine floats with famous Disney characters such as Mickey and Friends, Alice, Snow White, Cinderella, Woody and Jessie etc.
Tomorrow Land is located on the right of Main Street USA. It is a unique land that features numerous attractions that depict views of the future. One of the more popular attractions in Tomorrow Land here is the Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters, inspired by the film Toy Story 2, which allows you to team-up with your favorite superhero in an amazing interactive and superb intergalactic battle against Evil Emperor Zurg as you pilot your Star Cruiser through the treacherous terrain while zapping enemy targets and racking up points. Moreover, the ride in the Space Mountain whereby this high-speed, indoor roller-coaster launches you through darkness of space, into the path of a giant meteor together with fantastic special effects, energetic soundtrack and excellent sound system, and back to the Space Station or pilot your own rocket jet in Orbitron through rotating constellations of planets.
Adventure Land in Hong Kong Disneyland is the place you must visit for those who seeks adventure. It features a large island area that features the unique Tarzan's Tree house which will be circled by the Jungle Cruise. You may begin your journey by taking a raft tour in the waterways or board a riverboat to get to Tarzan Island, then follow by climbing the branches of Tarzan's Tree house and be totally overwhelmed by a spectacular display of music and magic.
While stepping into the castle gate, you will immediately get into the fantasy world of Disneyland. When you are here, you will be able to meet with well known Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and many others characters. Mickey's PhilharMagic is a 12-minute show featuring 3D effects, scents, and water as well as a number of characters from Disney movies. It is shown on the largest purpose-built 3D screen ever made, at one hundred and fifty feet wide. On the other hand, The Golden Mickeys is a musical revue-style stage show presented in the style of an awards ceremony with characters from Disney films being nominated for awards including heroism, comedy, villains, friendship, and romance.
