Jiankou Great Wall is a naturally preserved great wall. Although it is not as well developed as famous Great Wall sections like Badaling Great Wall and Mutianyu Great Wall, the natural scenery surrounding the great wall is amazingly great! Besides , the route of Jiankou Great Wall is often used as the great wall images on postcards as well as souvenirs.  

This is because the rhythmic and unexpected flow of Jiankou Great Wall is even greater than Simatai Great Wall and the slope of surrounding hills is even steeper than Mutianyu Great Wall. Moreover, the main structure of Jiankou Great Wall was built with large dolomite which you can see it from afar. Thus, you will be able to catch beautiful image of this great wall without being influenced by weather or the seasons.

Jiankou Great Wall is located around 30 kilometers from Huairou District, Beijing; connecting to Mutianyu Great Wall on the east and Dazhenyu on the west. The original topography of the surrounding had resulted in Jiankou Great Wall to be very majestic and adventurous. The whole section of great wall is in a “W” shape and looks very similar to a bow. This is also the main reason why it was named as Jiankou Great Wall. Moreover, this section of great wall is also the top destination for Great Wall photographers to take beautiful shots of this majestic architecture.
