Jingdong Grand Canyon which situated about 82 kilometers from Dongzhimen is a listed National AAA Tourist Attraction in Beijing. In fact, this huge attraction is a combination of two famous spots including the Grand Canyon and Jingtai Mountain Scenic Area which are inter-connected via cable cars in between. Besides possesses huge landscape coverage, Jingdong Grand Canyon is also a great place for you to get closer to the nature as you may walk within lush greenery while breath in the fresh air.

There are over 60s attractions throughout Jingdong Grand Canyon which the major attractions can be simplified and described within six points. First of all, there is ONE river which flow from the peak of canyon, connecting five deep ponds together and finally reaches the Longmen Lake (Dragon Gate Lake) of the canyon. TWO different types of scenic area have combined together to make up this huge tourist attractions; one of forest ecology scenic area and another side of canyon scenic area. Moreover, there are THREE phoenix towers, FOUR view points, FIVE ponds and SIX theme parks.

Major attractions of Jingdong Grand Canyon

1.Xiangtan Waterfall (Sound Pond Waterfall)
Xiangtan Waterfall is located right above the fifth pond, Xiangtan (Sound Pond) with over 30 meters height.

2.Wulongtan (Five Dragon Pond)
Wulongtan is five naturally formed ponds that named as Jing, Xian, Guai, Ling and Xiang according to its position.

3.Tongtianxia
Tongtianxia looks like a tall mountain which was cut into two. When you look from afar, the gap joint is very thin and impossible for a person to pass through. However, when you get closer, you will that the smallest point of the gap reaches one meter width as well. According to the history, this spot had been used at the secret factory to produce military products during Anti-Japanese War.

4.Zhandao
Jingdong Grand Canyon is well known for its five ponds, but the walkways that connecting four out of ponds are very unique in design and worth for a visit as well. The first and second walkways were built on the cliff side while the forth walkway is hung by several steel cables.

5.Longmen Lake
Longmen Lake covers an water surface of 40,000 square meters. Rain fall, snow and ice melt, water from the peak of mountain, water from waterfall, stream water, water from Longtan (Dragon Pond) and small rivers within this canyon have made up the water in this lake. It is a great destination for rowing especially.
