Laolongtou which literally means Old Dragon’s Head is located about 5 kilometers to the south of Shanhaiguan right in front of Bohai. Old Dragon's Head Scenic Area is made up from Ninghai City, Ruhaishi City, Chenghai Tower, South Haikou Pass, Longwu Camp and Haishen Temple. The Great Wall looks just like a huge dragon that flies in the sky above the China Plain and entering the sea on the east at Shanhaiguan. As it is the beginning point of the great wall and thus it was named as Old Dragon’s Head. Moreover, the great wall within the section of Old Dragon’s Head is the only section of Great Wall which was built underwater.
