Scenic Area of the Meixi Memorial Archways which covers an area of 120000 square meters has been divided into several sections as follow: Meixi Memorial Archways Plaza, Ancient Residence of Chen Fang, Chen’s Garden, Tomb Yards and Tourist Center.
Nowadays, there are only three Meixi Memorial Archways which still existing here. These archways were built in either year 1886 or 1891 of Emperor Guangxu, Qing Dynasty. The archways were built in order to commemorate the contribution of Chen Fang as well as his families to the society. Varied from any other imperial archways, these archways are designed in combination of Chinese and western characteristics.
