The Ruins of St. Paul is referred to the remaining fa?ade of the Cathedral of Saint Paul; a 17th century Portuguese cathedral in Macau dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of the most famous landmarks of Macau. Built in year 1582 and completed in 1602, the cathedral used to be the largest Catholic Church in Asia during that time. With the decline in importance of Macau, the fortune of the Cathedral was similarly ebbed as well. It was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon in year 1835. According to historical materials, St Paul's Church, which was built with white stones, had a grand vaulted roof and three magnificently decorated halls.
