Yueliang Shan with total height of over 380 meters obtains its name as Moon Hill because there is hollow at almost hill top area which looks like a moon from afar. Tourist may climb up the hill via a stone path with more than 800 staircases. The size of the hollow cave is very large with the diameter of reaching 50 meters but the width of the cave is a few meters deep only. The inner walls of both sides within the hollow cave are very straight but the top of the cave is hung with various sizes of stalactites. Especially during sunny day, you may see the blue sky and white clouds on the other side through the cave. It looks just like a clear mirror that hangs on top of the hill. On the way up the hill, you might be able to see full moon, crescent or half moon via different angle of view. It is a must visit destination of Yangshuo.
