Capital Museum is located on Fuxingmenwai Road in western Beijing. The Capital Museum focuses on the history and development of Beijing

The museum displays archaeological items and reproductions of scenes from ancient Beijing. A cultural and museum activity area for the public is also a new attraction for visitors in which visitors can carry participate in activities like pottery making, Chinese ink rubbing and face-painting - Peking Opera style. In the interactive multimedia hall visitors can have a look at “The Treasures of the Capital Museum” and “A Look at Beijing”. The digital movie hall has presentations every half hour.  Visiting can take up to five hours and an audio service is available in English.

★ The temporary exhibitions serve as a stage to study and appreciate the exchanges between cultures of Beijing and that of the other regions and the world.
