Tour schedule:
Day 1: Beijing – Changsha by flight
Hotel/apartment pick-up in the morning around 6:15am by tour guide & vehicle with driver. Then transfer to the airport to catch your flight for Changsha (2.5 hours flight). Our guide will help you with the check-in process; she/he will not leave until they see you off to the security check.
Upon arrival at Changsha airport, you will be met by our local guide (she/he will hold a sign with your name on it in the terminal lobby) & driver, who will take you to a traditional Chinese restaurant to enjoy an authentic lunch.
You will then visit the famous of Classical Hunan Provincial Museum & Yuelu Academy Learning in the afternoon. Following this, you will be taken to the hotel (four-star hotel) to check-in.
Dinner will be arranged in a local restaurant at 6:30 pm.
Note: The Provincial Museum is closed on Monday and also requires advanced booking. If your tour date is on Monday or you are booking at the last minute, it may not be possible to visit this Museum. If this is the case we will arrange a visit to the Hunan First Normal University instead. The Hunan First Normal University was the institution where Chairman Mao studied & worked for 8 years.
Meal: Lunch + Dinner
Day 2: Changsha – Beijing by flight
Hotel pick-up & check-out in the morning, then a scenic drive to Shaoshan (2 hours drive). Take a full day tour of Chairman Mao's former residence, the Statue Square of Chairman Mao & the mountain villa of Chairman Mao- Water Dripping Cave. Be transferred back to Changsha airport at 5:15pm to board your flight back to Beijing. Our guide will help you with the check-in process; she/he will not leave until they see you off to the security check.
Upon arrival at Beijing airport, you will be met by your guide (she/he will hold a sign with your name on it in the terminal lobby) & driver again, then you will be taken back to your hotel.

B. This is a private tour package. No other travelers will join your exclusive group.
C. Please be sure to bring your passport as you will not be allowed to board the plane without it.
D. If your flight from Beijing is cancelled or delayed to a certain degree due to bad weather, mechanical problems, government acts, strike, etc. we will gladly refund ALL your money or if you would like, we may switch the tour to an alternate day with no extra cost.
E. Only traditional Chinese meals are planned for your lunch, if this is not preferable please let your tour guide know in advance.
