Tour Schedule:
Day 1. Beijing to Chengde by train
In the morning, we will pick you up and then drive to the Beijing Railway Station where you will leave for Chengde. Our English-speaking tour guide will be sure you get off smoothly. It takes about 4 hours to travel from Beijing to Chengde by train.
Upon arrival at Chengde Railway Station, you will be met by our local guide & car or van with driver (she/he will hold a sign with your name on it at the exit of the train station). You will be taken to the hotel and check-in, then have lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Summer Resort for about 2 hours where we will see beautiful scenery and gardens. After you have toured the Summer Resort, we will have dinner and return you to your hotel.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner.
Day 2 Chengde to Beijing by train
After breakfast, we will visit the Little Potala Palace–(Putuo Zongcheng Temple) for about an hour where you will be able to explore the terraces and pagodas created after the original Potala Palace in Tibet. Then we will visit the Puning Temple which is currently the largest meeting site for Buddhist activities in China and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After the temple, we will transfer you to Chengde Station to travel back to Beijing.
Upon arrival at the Beijing Railway Station, you will be met by our local guide & driver (she/he will hold a sign with your name on it at the exit of the train station).

Beijing to Chengde N211 06:30 - 10:48 Hard Berth
Chengde to Beijing N212 13:30 - 17:48 Hard Berth
If a hard berth is not available, we will arrange a hard or soft seat for you.
