Beijing Airport

The Beijing Capital International Airport is the largest airport of China as well as the second largest airport throughout the region of Asia. Beijing Capital International Airport is situated right at Shunyi District although it is administered by Chaoyang District. The airport is about 20 km from Beijing city centre. The airport accepts almost all arrival and departure from domestic as well as international flights to Beijing. Besides that, Beijing Capital International Airport is the main station for Air China. For the convenience of passengers when arriving and departing Beijing, the airport is connected with Beijing city by Beijing Airport Express Way which enables airport to be reached within a 40-minute drive if no traffic jams occur within the drive. Besides that, there is an Airport Express train which connects Beijing city center to the Beijing Capital International Airport. There are four stops throughout the round trip of Airport Express. Besides a stop each at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital Airport, there is a stop at Sanyuanqiao which enables passengers to continue journey with Beijing subway Line 10. The last stop will be at Dongzhimen which allows passenger to transfer Beijing subway Line 2 easily. Only a 16-minute ride is required to reach Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital Airport from Dongzhimen at 25 RMB per trip per person. Thus, this can be considered as the fastest way to reach Beijing city from Beijing Capital International Airport.

There are some other airports in Beijing city which less known by public. Beijing Nanyuan Airport is one of the airports which opened for domestic used only. Beijing Liangxiang Airport, Beijing Xijiao Airport, Beijing Shahe Airport as well as Beijing Badaling Airport are airports basically for military used only.
