Zhongguancun Science Park was originated from the "Electronics Street" in Beijing, Backdated to the early 1980s. With the approval by the Chinese government, Zhongguancun Science Park(also know as the Z-Park in brief) was officially established as the first national science park in 1988.
There are several prominent IT and electronics markets in Zhongguancun that is the reason why it is called as "electronics avenue". The markets include Hailong Market, Dinghao Market, Taipingyang market, Kemao market and Guigu market etc. These markets are the hottest destinations for electronics such as PC, camera, compatible hardware, sofeware, MP3 etc. A thing visitors should notice is that the electronics are cheaper than that of other places, and their prices are easily bargained.
