Tour Schedule:
Hotel pick-up by our tour guide & private car/van at 6:00am, and drive to Chengde (3.5 hours drive, 170 miles).Upon arrival in Chengde, you will first visit the Imperial Summer Resort. In 1703, Qing emperor Kang Xi built a summer palace and gardens, he called his summer residence Bi'shu'shan'zhuang (fleeing-the-heat mountain hamlet). Under his grandson Qianlong it grew to the size of Beijing's Forbidden City and Summer Palace combined. Qianlong built many pieces of minorities architecture, most noteably Tibetan constructions.
Adter the Resort, you will enjoy a local lunch. You will then visit, the Temple of Potaraka Doctrine (Putuozongcheng) and other temples, before being transferred back to Beijing around 20:00 pm.

There are more than 4 million vehicles in Beijing, and it is said that approximately 30,000 cars are sold every month, so heavy traffic is constant in the city (Rush Hours from 7:30-9:30 in the morning and 16:30-19:30 in the afternoon). We will try our best to tour according to the timetable, but we cannot guarantee that traffic will not delay our schedule. Our tour guide will notify you if a delay occurs.
B.There will be an extended amount of walking during this tour, therefore it is recommended that you wear sport shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor activities.
