Introduction: There is a lovely village just outside Beijing called Gu Jiang. The village name means "ancient general". It lies 85 kilometers/ 51 miles northwest of Beijing. One reason that we recommend this village is that there is a beautiful part of the great wall (Juyongguan) that is located close to it. You can not only experience the village tour, but also hike on the wall. The other reason is that one of our guides, Michael, comes from this village. He will accompany you and take you on a tour of his village and to visit his family. Approximately 1,200 people live in this village.
Tour schedule:
Our well-trained English-speaking tour guide & private car/van will pick you up at 9:00am. You will drive to the Juyongguan Great Wall and hike for one and a half hours. After your hike, you will pay a visit to the village near Juyongguan. Lunch will be arranged with a local family (Michael's home). You will be warmly welcomed there! After lunch and touring the village, you will be transfered back to Beijing downtown.

A.There're more than 3 million vehicles in Beijing, and it said that approximately 30,000 cars are sold every month, so heavy traffic is a constant in the city (Rush Hours are 7:30-9:30 in the morning, 16:30-18:30 in the afternoon).We will try our best to tour according to the timetable, but we can not guarantee that traffic will not delay our schedule. Our tour guide will notify you if a delay occurs.
B.There will be an extended amount of walking during this tour, therefore you are recommended to wear sport shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor activities.
