Tour schedule:
9:00 am: Hotel pick-up by our guide and driver, then transfer to the famous Great Wall at Mutianyu where you will become the "hero"at the last day of year OX (2009 is the year of OX). After climbing the wall, be transferred back to the city at Hutong Area, where many traditional dwellings still stand today.
12:30: Visit a local family first and enjoy a festival lunch with the host and hostess.
1:30 pm: Hutong rickshaw tour, you'll ride on a rickshaw(2 persons per rickshaw) to travel along these hundreds-year old small alleys while listening to the stories told by your guide. You will also make a short stop at the bell tower, which offers a view of the entire Hutong area.
2:30 pm: Enjoy shopping with the host/hostess to the local markets, as well as at a silk store to find a Festival dress called a "Tangzhuang".
4:00 pm: Back at the home of the family, enjoy writing Chinese Couplets and making dumpling with the family.Say good bye to the local family and leave for your hotel.
6:00 pm: Arrive at your hotel and take a short rest. Put on your newly-bought Tangzhuang and leave for the CCTV tower to attend the big New Years Party.
8:00 pm: Arrive at the CCTV tower and enjoy a big festival dinner at the revolving restaurant.Then experience a fabulous festival performance(singing, dancing,comedy,etc. organized by CCTV Tower) with hundreds of other local and foreign guests.
00:00 : enjoy a breath-taking view of the fireworks and the city from the top of CCTV tower. Later on, be transferred back to the hotel.
01:00 am: arrive at your hotel, say good-bye to your guide and driver, and enjoy a New Year!

A. Considering that the entrance fee to the New Years Party on CCTV Tower is too expensive, our guide will not stay with you through the dinner and party. But she/he will be close to the tower, should you have any questions or need any help, please don’t hesitate to call him/her. In addition, the staff at TV Tower speaks simple English, and there’re also some English-speaking foreigners who will attend the party. We know you will enjoy this magnificient dinner and show very much.
B. There will be an extended amount of walking during this tour, therefore it is recommended that you wear sport shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor activities.
C. Winter is cold in Beijing, the temperature during the period of Spring Festival is low, it is roughly between 3℃ ( 37℉,day time) to-10℃(14℉ night time, ), please select your warm clothes accordingly.
