What is Taiji?
Taiji is an impressive form of martial art and exercise practised daily by millions of people around the world. This practice provides health, relaxation, and self-defence benefits including improving balance and lowering blood pressure. The goal of Taiji is to control the body and produce strong, yet fluid movements. This art has been traditionally practiced for many centuries.
What can we learn from a Taiji class?
Firstly, the coach will explain a brief introduction to the origin, development, and practice of Taiji. The teacher will also demonstrate how to perform Taiji. After that, you will apply Taiji yourself and experience the practice first hand! The class with last for 2 hours, a local Taiji coach will assist you the entire time.
Tour Schedule:
Hotel pick-up by our tour guide & private car/van at between 6:30-7:30 am. Then drive to the Temple of Heaven- the largest park within in the city, there are approximately 5,000 people who come to this park to exercise every morning. Experience the art of Taji in a private class (led by a local private coach), the class will last for 1-1.5 hours. After the class, visit the temple itself and learn the history of this hugely symbolic temple. We will provide transportation back to your hotel after the tour.
