Travel route

Day 1: Arrive in Xining
Take a morning domestic flight over to Xining, the capital city of Qinghai province, also a big hometown for Chinese Muslims. Then drive to Qinghai Lake-the largest salty lake in China. On the way back to Xining you will pass by the Sun and Moon Mountain. Stay overnight in Xining.

Day 2: Xining-Overnight on the Train
You will begin today's tour with Tar Temple, which is 40kms apart from Xining. The Buddhist temple is well-known for its yak butter sculpture and unique paints. After supper you'll take train and start the high plateau travel.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 3: On the train-Lhasa
Your train is supposed to reach Lhasa railway station at about 21:50pm. Lhasa is the capital city of the Tibet autonomous region of China. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to the hotel for a nice sleep trying to get acclimatized to the highland of 3600 meters.

Day 4: Lhasa
You will begin today's tour with the Potala Palace, the highest palace in the world. Afterwards you will proceed to the Jokhang monastery, the most holy place in every single believer's heart. Have a nice walk around the oldest commercial street and the most famous pilgrimages circuit, Barkhor.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch

Day 5: Lhasa-Yamdroktso-Shigatse
Today it is going to be a long drive day, but it is nice and worth of it. On the way to Shigatse, you will have some stopovers at the holy lake Yamdroktso for a lunch break. In clear weather, the lake looks like a flying swan. Few hours more drive to get to Shigatse.

Day 6: Shigatse-Lhasa
This morning you are going to visit the biggest monastery in south Tibet, Tashilhunpo. It has been for centuries ban Chan lama's residence and his principal monastery. It is so proud of the world's biggest bronze statue of future life Buda built in 1904.Afeter the lunch break, get back to Lhasa.

Day 7: Depart Lhasa
Your guide will meet you at the hotel and see you off at Lhasa airport. (Service Ends)
