Do I have to tip in restaurants?
It depends! In Western or very fancy Chinese restaurants such as the "Hardrock Café, Outback Steak House, or Chinese Clubs" etc. or the restaurants in four or five star hotels, tips are expected. But in regular Chinese restaurants on the street, you don’t need to tip even though they look nice & decent.
Tips: look at other tables around you to see how people act. Or, check your bill, you don't have to tip if a service fee is included (hoping it's in English).
