Badaling Great Wall
Badaling was the earliest section to be opened to the tourists among all
the parts of the whole Great Wall and now is the most famous one home
and abroad. It is the outstanding representative of the Great Wall and
the quintessence of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. 130 million tourists
from China and abroad have visited Badaling; 370 foreign leaders and
very important persons have come to climb Badaling successively.

3. Forbidden City-Badaling Great Wall one day hiking tour
In the morning, our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8:30 or 9:00 up to your personal preference.
Drive to the Forbidden City (the imperial palace of the ancient Chinese
emperors during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties (1644-1911) in
a private vehicle.
Have a visit at the Forbidden City for about 1.5 hours.
Have lunch in a traditional Chinese restaurant and have a short rest.
Take about 1.5 hours drive to the Badaling Great Wall (which is the most
famous section of the Great Wall, well maintained, easy for travelers to
walk along the defensive project of ancient China).
Enjoy the countryside view on the way, meanwhile, our guide will give
you a dramatic introduction of the Great Wall and bring you some
interesting stories as well.
Hike on the Badaling Great Wall for about 1.5 hours. Cable car is
optional to get to the top to have a bird¡¯s eye view of the wall. The
climbing of the Great Wall is very challenging. The Chairman Mao said
¡°you are not a real hero until you climb on the Great Wall.¡±
Drive back to your hotel.
Hotel pick-up again at 6:30PM
Drive to the theatre for the traditional Acrobatic Show
(7:15PM-8:20PM)¡ªone of the oldest performing arts in China.
Drive back to your hotel.

Because the Great Wall and Ming Tomb are located in the outskirt of
Beijing, the restaurants are not as many or great as those in the
downtown. We have chosen the Friendship Restaurant which provides the
best service for our customers. The restaurant provides only Chinese
food. However, all the food is customized for the foreign visitors. So
don¡¯t worry, we promise you will love it.
Today is a big day for walking, so you are recommended to wear sport
shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor activities.
