Gubeikou Great Wall
Gubeikou Great Wall section may not be as famous as other sections like
Badaling or the Great Wall as a whole. But this section is the most
intact, well-preserved and original section.
Itinerary:
Simatai-Jinshanling-Gubeikou Great Wall two days hiking tour
Day1:
In the morning, our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your
hotel at 8:00 am or 8:30 up to your personal preference.
Take about 2.5 hours to drive to the Simatai Great Wall (where you can
see the authentic Great Wall and stay away from tons of the tourists to
enjoy the details of the Wall)
On your way, the English-speaking tour guide will give you a vivid
introduction of the Great Wall and bring you interesting stories.
Spend about 1.5 hours hiking on the Great Wall.
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Go on hiking for 2.5 hours to the Jinshanling Great Wall.
Check in the the Jinshanling Great Wall Hotel (***).
Day2:
In the morning, after lunch check out the hotel.
Hike from Jinshanling Great Wall section to Gubeikou section which takes
about 3 hours. Your driver will meet you there.
Transfer back to downtown Beijing.

Kind notice:
Bathroom (restroom): highly suggest our customers use bathroom before
the tour takes place, because it will take about 2.5 hours to get to
Simatai. It¡¯s hard to find a good & clean bathroom on the way there.
Venders: there¡¯re many venders making their livings by following
the tourists at Simatai and Jinshanling. They usually wait those
visitors at the entrance of the wall, and follow them almost all the way
on the Wall. These venders behave OK, not as bad as the venders in the
city. In the tour, they might do you some help, such as helping you
carry your bag, giving you a hand on the steep part, etc¡Meanwhile they
will keep on persuading you to buy some souvenirs (post card, T-shirt..)
from them, if you don¡¯t buy, tip will be expected.
Hiking will take 3-3.5 hours on the wall, at least 2 bottle of mineral
water, fine-quality hiking shoes are the necessary items in the tour.
How to book the tour:
1. You can book the tour on-line or by email to

You are required to tell us which hotel you will live in Beijing.
2. You will receive our confirmation email within two working days.
Your reservation is done then.
3. Our tour guide will contact you the night before the tour to inform you the
time to pick you up in the next morning, or, if you are not in the hotel,
the guide will leave a message in your room to inform you the time to pick
you up.
4. Enjoy your tour with our guide.
