Jinshanling Great Wall
Jinshanling Great Wall was named because it was built on the Jinshan
Mountains. It was initially built from 1368 to 1389 in the Ming Dynasty,
and in 1567 or 1570 rebuilding of the Wall was mainly directed by
General Qi Jiguang. The Wall is about 21 to 24 feet high and 15 to 18
feet wide, which is made of brick and stone. The Jinshanling Great Wall
has an elevation of 2100 feet.

Simatai. It¡¯s hard to find a good & clean bathroom on the way there.
Venders: there¡¯re many venders making their livings by following
the tourists at Simatai and Jinshanling. They usually wait those
visitors at the entrance of the wall, and follow them almost all the way
on the Wall. These venders behave OK, not as bad as the venders in the
city. In the tour, they might do you some help, such as helping you
carry your bag, giving you a hand on the steep part, etc¡Meanwhile they
will keep on persuading you to buy some souvenirs (post card, T-shirt..)
from them, if you don¡¯t buy, tip will be expected.
Hiking will take several hours on the wall, at least 2 bottle of mineral
