Juyongguan Great Wall
Juyongguan Great Wall in Changping District features ¡°guancheng
culture¡±. Guan (pass) lies within, while cheng (Great Wall) is located
outside. ¡°Guan¡± resembles a supreme headquarters of command post. The
other Great Wall has only one section, but Juyongguan Great Wall looks
like a complete military castle. It¡¯s considered as the most magnificent
pass under the heaven, as well as the steepest section in Beijing.

3. Great Wall at Juyongguan-Village one day hiking tour
The recommended village for this visit is Gu Jiang. The village name
means "ancient general". It lies 85/51miles kilometers northwest of
Beijing. One reason that we recommend this place is that there's a part
of the Great Wall (Juyongguan) located close to it. You can not only
experience the village tour, but also hike on the Wall at the same time.
Another reason is that one of our Guides Michael comes from this
village. He will accompany you taking a tour to his village and visit
his family there. Approximately 1,200 villagers live in Gu Jiang.
Our well-trained English-speaking tour guide will pick you up between
8:30am and 9:00am based on your convenience.
Drive to the Juyongguan Great Wall in private vehicle.
Hike on the Wall for one and half hours.
Lunch will be arranged at one of the local families, Michael¡¯s home. You
will be warmly welcomed there.
After lunch, pay a visit to local families and local primary school.
Transfer back to downtown Beijing by 18:00.
