As the main Peking Opera theater of China, Beijing Peking Opera Theater is the largest Peking Opera performance group in Beijing. First founded in 1979, the theatre enjoys incomparable status in domestic opera art performances in China. The formation and development of the theater has shared the experience of Opera with many audiences, as well as helped the development of young art performers and to foster the art of a new era. 
The theater not only performs in Beijing and China, but also takes external culture exchanges. During the past 60 years, the group has performed in over 50 countries and regions, including Japan, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom and the U.S., making this art known to people around the world.
