Double-seven festival is one of the most romantic festivals in China. Acting as the Chiense Valentines Day, the Double-seven festival falls on the 7th of July (Chinese calendar). It is on only this evening that Niulang and Zhinu, two Chinese great lovers, could see eachother in the night sky. Girls gather together on this day and look up into the star-filled sky, hoping to find the two lovers or hear them talking. If boys and girls should ever see or hear them, they are blessed by Niulang and Zhinu and gain ever-lasting love.
