Though situated beside Guangdong province, Guangxi differs greatly in economies, culture and cuisine. Guangxi Cuisine is not as light as Cantonese food, but tastes somewhat spicy. The most famous dish of Guangxi cuisine is Guilin Mifen (Guilin rice-flour noodles). It is now very popular in many China cities, such as Beijing. Guangxi cuisine is also famous for its unique treatment of venison, snake and pigeon meat.
