Because of its location and history, Macau has a very different style of food compared with mainland China. It combined the features of Southern Chinese cuisine and Portuguese cuisine, and its ingredients and seasonings blend that of China, Southeast Asia, Europe and Latin America. Baking, roasting and grilling are the three main cooking techniques. Famous dishes include Stir-fried curry crab, Macanese chili shrimps, Bacalhau, and Pato de cabidela etc.
