
Because of the high altitude, barley become the most important crop for Tibetan people. Tsampa is the staple food which can either make into noodles or dumplings. Stewed or roasted Goat, Yak or mutton are their main meat dishes while Yak yoghurt and local rice wine are the most favored drinks. Because of the harsh climate, those foods which may keep them warm and give the most energy dominated the dishes.
