Jiangnan refers to the area and culture of the people to south of the Yangtze River. During the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the Yang family arrived in Jiangnan (southern China) and became prosperous there. They established a type of cuisine which now has a long legacy. The interior of the restaurant is designed to resemble the Ming and Qing Dynasty, as does the food.
