Quan Ju De, a famous historical chain in China, was established in 1864, during the third year of Tongzhi of the Qing dynasty and is one of the oldest duck restaurants in the city. Over it's long history, Quanjude peking duck has become a well-known establishment for it's renouned duck among locals and tourists in Beijing. The restaurant has traditional decor and consists of both public dining rooms and private suits. It ranks first not only in Chinese Famous Dishes, compiled by all-China famous chefs under the organization of Ministry of Commerce in 1958, but also in the Elite of Chinese Famous Dishes, published by China and Japan in 1982. Many government leaders and officials from nearly 200 countries and regions have visited Quan Ju De roast duck restaurants. Currently, the Group has over 60 company-owned and franchised restaurants in China. In January of 1999, Quan Ju De was awarded the title of "China Renowned Trademark."
