"Tandoor" is a kind of mud stove that is used for baking Indian pies, and the type that are used here at Tandoor. This restaurant is in the Zhaolong Hotel in the Sanlitun area. Upon entering the facility you are greeted with vivid decoration in traditional Indian styles. Mirrored walls, statues and detailed carvings create an artistic environment. The menu lists largely barbecued and curry based dishes that are spiced to the specific taste of each individual guest. Famous dishes include: Mirch Musallam, Lamb Achari and Chicken Vindaloo. Indian dancers make an appearance in the evenings.
