China is known to be a shoppers paradise! There are many markets, malls, and street vendors covering the city and many hidden treasures are waiting to be discovered.

A varied of goods can be found in Beijing, but the city is especially legendary for it's jade, pearls, and silk. Such traditional products can be purchased at a fraction of the price they are sold for in the West. These can be found in most markets and shops, yet going to a certified factory or stall ensures the quality. The best venues for these products are the Silk Market and the Pearl Market.

Chinese customary arts such as hand paintings, lacquer, antiques and cloisonné are also common and can be purchased in most markets. In addition, established brand products are for sale, though often these are not authentic certified versions of the merchandise.

There is a chart at the bottom of each tour that gives information about the shopping venues the tour visits. This includes the quality of the goods and the service and language ability of the staff.
