Tour Itinerary
Hotel/Apartment pick-up by our tour guide & private car/van and with driver at 9:30am. First, visit Tiananmen square, the largest downtown square in the world. Stroll around on the square then walk directly into the Forbidden City (the Palace Museum). This used to be the residence for the Emperors (24 emperors total) during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It occupies 72 hectares (180 acres) and takes about one and a half hours to tour.
Enjoy a typical Chinese lunch.
After a short rest, drive to the China National Arts and Crafts Museum. Its exhibits include jade ware, stone and wood sculpture, earthenware, lacquer ware, metal ware, embroidery, and ethnic folk art. You will then see the renowned 798 Art Zone located in the northeast suburb of Beijing. This district gathers galleries, art studios, cultural companies, fashion shops and more.
Transfer back to your hotel after the tour.

Note when visit Museums:
A. The China National Arts and Crafts Museum is closed on Mondays, so this tour schedule is not available on Mondays.
B. We kindly ask that you book the tour in advance since tickets to the museums need to be reserved.
C. You need to go through a Security Check before entering the gate.
D. We ask that you not distrub other museum patrons and please turn off or silence cell phones.
E. No videos cameras in the museums. Still Cameras may be used, but only without the flash, as it will cause permanent damage to the precious culture relics.
F. Do not touch any of the exhibits.
