Tour Itinerary
Hotel/apartment pick up by English-speaking tour guide & vehicle with driver at 9:00am and go to Gangwashi Christian Church- the oldest Protestant church in Beijing. If your tour is on Sunday, you will have a chance to attend a religious service. Then visit the largest downtown square in the world- Tiananmen Square. Stroll around the square before walking into the Forbidden City, which used to be the residence for the Emperors (24 emperors total) in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It occupies 72 hectares (180 acres) and takes 1.5-2 hours to visit.
Enjoy a typical Chinese lunch around 12:30.
After a short rest, drive to the Temple of Heaven (an hour visit) where Emperors used to worship the Gods and pray for a good harvest during the Ming & Qing dynasties.
Afterwards visit Chongwenmen Christian Church. If on Sunday, you will have a chance to attend service (7pm on Sundays).
Drop off at your hotel after the tour.

Tip: Gangwashi Christian Church is the most ancient Christian church in Beijing. It was built by the London Missionary Society in 1863.
Chongwenmen Christian Church is renound all of the world. The celebrities who have visited this church include former American Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton and the Archbishop of Canterbury George Kathy.
