It is reported that sixty-one percent of Beijing is mountainous where
thousands of villages were built hundreds of years ago. During your
village tour, you will experience the REAL BEIJING.
Introduction: The recommended village for this visit is Gu Jiang. The
village name means "ancient general". It lies 85/51miles kilometers
northwest of Beijing. One reason that we recommend this place is
that there's a part of the great wall (Juyongguan) locate close to
it. you can not only experience the village tour, but also hike on
the wall at the same time, another reason is that one of our Guide
¡°Michael¡±, come from this village, he will accompany you taking a
tour to his village and visit his family there. Approximately 1,200
villagers live in Gu Jiang.
Tour schedule:
Our well-trained English-speaking tour guide will pick you up between
8:30am and 9:00am based on your convenient time. Drive to the Great
Wall
(Juyongguan), hike for one and half hours. After lunch, pay a visit
to local families and local primary school. Lunch will be arranged
at one of the local family-Michael¡¯s home. You will be warmly
welcomed there. You will be transferred back to the Beijing downtown
by 18:00.
